STCBA Scholarship for Legal Studies

2019-2020 STCBA Scholarship for Legal Studies

The application deadline for the 2019-2020 scholarship closed on May 3, 2019. Please stay tuned for the announcement of the 2020-2021 deadline.

STCBA is proud to announce that they have awarded the second annual Shasta-Trinity Counties Bar Association Scholarship for Legal Studies to local, deserving, students interested in pursuing their legal studies education. We look forward to reviewing next year’s applications in the Spring of 2020.

The purpose of the scholarship is to promote the practice of law in Shasta and Trinity Counties by supporting local students who are bound for post-secondary education and who have an interest in improving their communities as legal professionals.  The scholarships will be need, and merit, based and will be open to high school seniors, undergraduates and current law school attendees in amounts up to $1,000.  The scholarships will be administered and awarded by the Legal Studies Committee (“LSC”).  The funding for these scholarships will come from member donations and separate fundraising efforts on behalf of the STCBA and the LSC.

On behalf of both the STCBA and the LSC, we extend an open invitation for scholarship contributions from STCBA members as well as the greater Shasta and Trinity County philanthropic communities. We look forward to the continued administration of this program.
