The Shasta County Superior Court is hiring for a regular, full-time Research Attorney I/II/III. The salary range is $69,348.00-$112,980.00 Annually. Application deadline is June 21, 2019 at 12:00 PM PST. Interviews will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019.
Under the direction of the General Counsel, the Research Attorney I/II/III performs legal research activities on behalf of the Court by examining, analyzing, and interpreting available information and submitting recommendations for resolving issues before the Court, as well as related duties as required.

Self-Help Center Assistant Attorney – Shasta County Superior Court
The Shasta County Superior Court is hiring for a temporary Self-Help Center Assistant Attorney. The salary range for this position is $33.34-$46.92 Hourly. Application deadline is June 28, 2019 at 12:00 PM PST. Interviews will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
Under the direction of the Family Law Facilitator/Self-Help Center Attorney, the Self-Help Center Assistant Attorney provides legal services to the Self-Help Center for self-represented litigants, and performs other related duties as required. This is a project position, supported by grant funding, which is approved through fiscal year 2018-2019 and expected to continue through fiscal year 2020-2021, but may extend beyond that. This is a non-benefited extra-help position in which estimated hours are 20 per week.

This position performs a variety of professional legal work in child support civil and criminal cases; provides legal advice and assistance in child support issues to Department staff and law enforcement; advises clients and the public on legal procedures regarding child support; may be the attorney of record in all legal actions and proceedings filed on behalf of the Department with the courts and administrative law agencies; and performs related work as required.

The City Attorney’s Office for the City of Redding is adding to an eligibility list to fill one Legal Secretary position. This position performs a variety of complex and responsible secretarial and legal work which is specialized and requires knowledge of the preparation and processing requirements of legal documents, legal terminology, civil procedure and discovery, sources of law and the court system.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and legal research software such as Westlaw or Lexis.
Education: Typical education would include a high school diploma, or equivalent and legal secretarial/legal assistant course work.
Experience: Typical experience would include a minimum five years of responsible relevant secretarial work in a law office; OR completion of qualifying legal secretary or legal assistant course work in a recognized business school or college, and two years law office experience.
